For Valentine's Day 2020, nearly 50,000 people signed a petition calling on the Home Office to #HaveAHeart, and put an end to rules that tear couples and families apart, simply because of what they earn.

We handed those signatures into the Home Office, along with a bunch of roses, and took the message to MPs in the House of Commons, too.

Thanks to amazing campaigners from Reunite Families UK, hundreds of people then took to Twitter on Valentine's Day to share their stories of heartbreak and separation - all of it caused by these cruel and unnecessary immigration rules.

You can read some of their stories here. And at the bottom of the page you'll find links to the first-person stories of three incredible people who are speaking out against rules that leave families split across different continents.
