“It is a real honour to thank Satbir on behalf of all the Trustees of JCWI as he leaves us after five incredible years. Under his leadership, JCWI has become a more confident, more generous and more resilient organisation, with relationships and partnerships across sectors and regions of the country.  We are particularly proud of the outstanding impact we can associate with his time as Chief Executive; from solidarity work to bring justice to the Windrush community, to navigating discriminatory practices of the Home Office in the courts and in the media. We are also an organisation who are much more deeply aware of our strengths and commitment to migrant justice, working hard as we commit to this every day. We wish him all the very best as he moves on to new and exciting opportunities.

Building on this foundation, we are looking forward to preparing for our future work, and our trustees, staff and partners are thrilled to be working on a bold strategy for the organisation which we will unveil later this year. We will shortly be introducing our Interim Executive Director, and will soon launch a national recruitment campaign with NFP Consulting to find our new Executive Director”

Guppi Bola, Chair of the Board of Trustees, The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants

“Leading JCWI these past five years has been an honour and a privilege. It has never been more important for organisations like JCWI to exist, and I’m so grateful to have had the chance to work with a team of such immensely talented, fearless and creative advocates to support our communities, hold the powerful to account and fight for a vision of a fairer, more just country. I’m so excited to see what this incredible organisation does next, and I’ll never stop rooting for its continued success.”
