Our first Family Tree has been planted, and is now taking root at Living Under One Sun, a gorgeous community garden in Tottenham, North London. We were joined for the planting ceremony on November 9 by activists and campaigners who had travelled from all over the country to share moving testimonies of the impact of the UK's family separation rules.

Our little olive tree, a symbol of peace and friendship, was helped into its new home by David Lammy, one of the candidates standing in Tottenham, and Feryal Clark, who is standing in Enfield North. They had some stiff competition from the kids in attendance, who were keen to get their hands soily and help plant our first Family Tree.
All families deserve the right to flourish and grow together. If you want to take a stand against rules that separate families because of how much they earn, you can get involved by planting your own Family Tree! Get in touch at [email protected] to find out more.
