I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 April, to raise money for the migrants' rights charity JCWI! It's most likely to be virtual so I won't get the beautiful route of the real thing. I'll have to rely on the glow of helping to support such an amazing organisation.

The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) is an independent national charity that has been defending the rights of Britain's migrant communities for over 50 years.
JCWI stands with migrants against harsh immigration rules to fight for justice. They have supported tens of thousands of people to secure their status, be reunited with their families and escape poverty.
And they campaign against unfair and discriminatory immigration rules which lead to destitution and the denial of people's human rights.
At its best, Britain is a place that values fairness, equality and freedom. We believe a fair immigration system is possible, if we start by telling each other the truth. People move. We always have, and we always will. And all our lives are better for it.
Whether through JCWI's solicitors helping clients to secure their status, or through campaigners getting the public involved in the fight for fairer rules, every penny raised in sponsorship will go towards helping people who move.  Catherine Hurley
