Poppy joined the legal team at JCWI in March 2022. She is an OISC Level 2 accredited, and IAAS Level 2 accredited senior caseworker. Poppy has been working in immigration, asylum and public law since 2017, and is committed to helping her clients access justice and fight for their rights in the face of a racist, and unjust immigration system which is not fit for purpose.

Poppy has extensive experience working with people with vulnerabilities including victims of torture and trafficking, domestic violence, and those struggling with mental health issues, disability, and destitution. 

Her areas of expertise include asylum and human rights based immigration applications, fresh claims and appeals, and also judicial review.

Prior to entering the legal sector, Poppy was involved with migrant solidarity work and campaigning at a grass roots level.
