Aria Danaparamita - Advocacy Director

Aria Danaparamita (she/they) campaigns for decolonial transformative justice across borders. With transnational policy and advocacy experience, and lived expertise of the UK immigration system, they are building power across grassroots and civil society to influence policy. Prior to JCWI, Mita was a campaigner at human rights organisation Liberty, a public affairs consultant to intergovernmental organisations and multinational companies, and a journalist reporting for publications including Al Jazeera and Foreign Policy. Mita received their BA from Wesleyan University (USA) and Master’s from SOAS University of London.
